The process:
From the sheep
It begins with locally sourced raw sheep fleece.
Any vegetable matter, dirt etc is removed before washing by hand.
Once dry any last bits of vegetable matter remaining are picked out.
To the fibre
It can be woven straight from the fleece, showcasing the unique colours and textures or carded (preparing the fibres) beforehand, creating a smoother, softer finish.
